These images, by photographers of the Farm Security Administration/Office of War Information, are some of the only color photographs taken of the effects of the Depression on America's rural and small town populations. The photographs are the property of the Library of Congress and were included in a 2006 exhibit Bound for Glory: America in Color.
@farmboy00000 No kidding. I think a lot of us grew up thinking that those people in the 1930s lived in a black and white world and were so incredibly different from us just because of the more primitive technology and political differences. But really, their lives are just like ours.

It's amazing how the color photos make these seem like they are much more recent instead of 70 + years ago. So used to seeing black & white photos of this era. Great photos & music also, Thanks for posting!
