Witness the ultimate test of mind and might at the Laugardalshöll Convention Center, as members of the CCP Dev Team compete in the chessboxing match of the year right square in the middle of EVE Fanfest ( http://fanfest.eveonline.com/chessbox ). That's right, folks, two of CCP's finest, Björn "Left Rook" Jónsson and Daniel "Pretty Boy" Þórðarson, will be heads down at the board and knuckles up in the ring to bring this incredible sport live to Iceland and the fans of EVE Online!

Will brains beat brawn? Will youth triumph over age? Find out at Fanfest 2011 or by watching the free live stream of the event at fanfest.eveonline.com. This one-of-a-kind event will take place on Friday, 25 March at 2000 GMT.

About the participants: Bjorn, 42, is a Senior 3D Artist who brings a heavy chess background to the game, with 2039 Elo points to his name. Fellow 3D Artist Daniel, 29, finds his weakness on the chess side but definitely knows his boxing, boasting a 2009 Icelandic boxing championship title.

There's more than just a title on the line, as this battle royale' is being held to benefit Sjónarhóll which provides consulting and support to parents and families of children with special needs.Witness the ultimate test of mind and might at the Laugardalshöll Convention Center, as members of the CCP Dev Team compete in the chessboxing match of the year right square in the middle of EVE Fanfest. 1st Boxing could be very strategic : see how mohamed ali fight.

2nd Pavlov is usefull for fight situation to get more reflexes but to upgrade the chess skills only talent or pratice is usefull. Has someone tried to play chess with reflexes? This french guy is totally sickand sadistic.
