Tennis star Serena Williams' first visit to Africa was an opportunity to meet UNICEF Ghana's Chief of Health and Nutrition and witness the realities facing parents who struggle to help their children survive the first years of life. She joined a team of volunteer health workers serving the small, deprived community of Nungua-Zongo in Greater Accra. The volunteers worked to vaccinate children against measles and polio and hand out free insecticide-treated bed nets to families with children under the age of two.
@kmccary I bet he'll avoid anything that has to with Africa.
