The upbeat mood at the 'walk for justice' in Putrajaya belied serious intent - to protest the erosion of judicial independence in light of claims in the 'Lingam tape'.

The last time that lawyers took to the streets was during the 1988 judicial crisis, when they protested the sacking of then Lord President Salleh Abas.

This morning, after police stopped buses ferrying the protesters to Putrajaya, some 200 occupants got off and walked to the Palace of Justice.

This video clip, is one of series of 7 clips, is taken by Lau Weng San, DAP Selangor Secretary.

Stand up and walk the talk by excercising your right to call for a Royal Commission. Let justice prevail, and may those who threathen whistleblowers repent and atone for their sins of abetting a plot to force the judicary to become a concubine of the Barisan Nasional government

These words will go down in history as one of the historical speeches of Malaysians who are fighting for a clean judiciary & government.
