for some reason I don't see what I wrote. Below is the context of Ex 21:7-11. It does not say, "It's ok to sell your daughter into slavery." Instead it regulates it. This is a step backwards for us today. But it is a step forward for them at that time.
Ex. 21:7 When a man sells his daughter as a slave, she shall not go out as the male slaves do.
Ex 21:8 If she does not please her master, who has designated her for himself, then he shall let her be redeemed. He shall have no right to sell her to a foreign people, since he has broken faith with her. 9 If he designates her for his son, he shall deal with her as with a daughter. 10 If he takes another wife to himself, he shall not diminish her food, her clothing, or her marital rights.
Ex 21:11 And if he does not do these three things for her, she shall go out for nothing, without payment of money.
The word translated as "slave" is the Hebrew words לאמה or "for a handmaiden/female servant/slave". It's not the slavery of America's past. They cannot be resold (especially to foreigners) but only set free (v.8), can receive an inheritance just like a son (v.9), and must have food, clothing, and be treated like a wife or else she will be freed (v.10).
here you are, an ignoramous making statements about a book that is more than a couple thousand years old, a book that is seriously studied in such schools as Harvard, Oxford, Princeton, Duke, Boston U., and Yale, to name but a few.
There are jerks in most every profession. The pastors I have known are terrific.

Same point made so well by Dawkins. These idiots claim they get their morality from the Bible then pick and choose bits they now disgard.
Well then clearly, you don't get it from the fucking Bible lmao. Morons.
IF a man sells his daughter as a servant, she is not to go free as menservants do"
and in the next verse (21:7) it says that if if she does not please the master who has selected her to himself then he must let her be redeemed
