Many Christians will claim to believe every word in the Bible despite never having read the thing. And most are content to just be spoon fed the more pleasant bits by their religious leaders.

hahaha its funny because in the beginning he says"no out of context bullshit"but...alot of this is...indeed out of context....if these people knew anything about what they were reading then they would have known things such as when it is saying not to go near a woman while she is on her period,it mean not to have sex with a women while she is on her period, and also..Jesus had short hair.. as it was customary for Jews of that day and age to have. and also... as FrayGirl224 stated.. old covenant

@endofscene My mother and I do speak out against the parts of the bible we disagree with. And we do raise awareness about the nasty effects it's having on the gay community (with me being bisexual and all). Don't assume. We do what we can.

@swisskid101 Could it not be both? Perhaps each perspective has something to offer. And it is folly to think that those two perspectives are the only options. There are so many religions and infinite gods. There are so many philosophies and infinite takes on life. Perhaps God and evolution are not mutually contradictory. Perhaps neither is true. Perhaps both are. Perhaps there is more in Heaven and Earth than is dreamt of in your philosophy. I choose truth.

@FrayGirl224 I know, there's nothing in the New Testament about homosexuality being bad. However, there are still Christians who quote that portion of the old testament. By doing so you pick and choose what you like, which doesn't make sense if you believe God wrote it. Either follow all of it or none of it.

@FrayGirl224 Just replying to your original comment thinking that Penn & Teller don't know about the NEW covenant. Of course they do. The point they are making is too many people pick and choose what they want from the old book, which if you believe it was written by god doesn't make sense. So that's why I was wondering your personal opinion if you believe homosexuality is wrong. A simple yes or no would suffice.

@FrayGirl224 P.S. When I stated "By doing so you pick and choose what you like" I didn't mean YOU as in Fray Girl I meant you as in anyone who does that. So hopefully you are a christian who does not quote the passages they like from the Old Testament and ignores the others they don't. The simple point I am trying to make is if you do ONLY follow the new testament then you would also agree with this video that you can't pick and choose what you like from a religious text.
