Here it is - the Alienware TactX Headset.

I really loved this headset. I am using this currently for my gaming needs and it is holding up great. The sound is so clear, and it can get quite loud which is always better than too quiet.

It doesn't offer any noise cancelling by physical (earcup) or electronic methods, but who cares? For 80 bucks this thing is a must have product.

Here's the tech info:

Headphones Frequency Response 16 Hz -28 kHz Input Impedance 40 Ohm Sensitivity SPL @ 1 kHz, 1 Vrms: 110 dB Connector 3.5mm Ear Coupling Circumaural Cord Length ~10 Feet (~3ft cord + ~7ft extension)

Microphone Frequency Response 75 Hz -16 kHzs Input Impedance 2K Ohm Sensitivity -38 dB Connector 3.5mm Pick Up Pattern Unidirectional

System Requirements 3.5mm Analog Audio-Out Jacks 3.5mm Analog Audio-In Jack (for microphone use) No Drivers Required

Please rate/like/subscribe - it really helps us out! =D

And apologies for the mic quality in this video. Just tried out a new camera, and it is not as great as I was hoping it to be.

  • I got it for $40 I think

  • @rossingkje sup?

  • is this headset worth it?is the sound quality and the quality of the headset itself good? or is is just some overpriced alienware product?

  • You would think that the headset that coming from alienware would be exspensive sens it's top notch stuff

  • @Dg0Nazi Yeah i saw that on the website it was pritty cheap

  • @shadowfire6497

I think I got them for $40 because I also bought an Alienware optx gaming monitor.

So ya, moneys worth is what I got. My main reason for commenting is so people don't jump all over these as an uber headset. Hence my opinion they are an "OK" headset.

Very few headsets out there really deserve the high praise they get. Most are reviewed by folks who don't know what good headsets powered by a proper sound card really produce.

There is a major difference when its all balanced :)

  • @GruntStyle 9 months? Seems like you got your moneys worth.

  • @GamenMetMees yes it has a retractable mike which is quite usefull because if you would just like to watch videos or listen to music you can just pull it out or in the headset.

  • @ystoh133 no it is made by Alienware it is just similar to the 5hv2 headset all it has that is different is the Alienware logo located on each side of the of the headset.

  • is this designed by steel series? because they look exactly the same as the steelseries 5hv2 headset just that they have different logos printed on them.
