This is a first great toe joint replacement surgery for arthritic or damaged joint surfaces that cause pain with activity. The device being placed in the joint is the Arthrosurface. The procedure takes about 45 minutes in an out-patient environment. Patient elevates the foot for 48-72 hours and then partial weight bearing for 2 weeks, full weight bearing and back into a shoe at 3 weeks.

  • Just 3 days out from the surgery, on both great toes, and I already have less pain than before the surgery! I am so very grateful for Dr. Moore!

  • Amazing result. I am aspiring to be a podiatrist and this video, along with your others have been tremendously valuable to me learning about podiatric procedures and surgeries. The advancements being made in podiatric medicine are long overdue.
