Firstly, this video is outdated.
Secondly, this video, while it looks horrible, is NOT the way to get better FPS in TF2.

This is the config to get the settings to look like it does in the video. Use it to replace whatever is in autoexec.cfg in your
C:\Program Files\Steam\steamapps\steamname\team fortress 2\tf\cfg folder.

Put the following in your launch options:

Do you want to change it back to normal?
Simply delete the config you created, and replace the launch options with "-autoconfig". This should bring you back to normal.

how come that it's still laggy with that kinda config?

Two reasons:
One: The main option that makes the graphics look so ugly, mat_showlowresimage 1, is not properly optimized and will actually decrease the FPS in some cases.
Two: This was filmed on a horrible laptop with integrated graphics. I might make a new video eventually on my new computer with a better "worse" config eventually.
You can see a proper FPS config in the video responses.

Alright guys, pretty soon I'll have two new videos up: One showing you an FPS config that will net you HUGE gains in performance (And looks better than the one here, too!), and one showing you a super high quality config so you can take TF2's graphics up to 11.
Both videos will contain comprehensive tutorials in the description.
