@21Wook75 It was during the 1984-'85 season.

What year was this?

@elohim77 Yeah, that's true about Hakeem, too. He was listed at 7'0, but I had read that he was actually 6'10 1/2" without shoes. Most NBA players heights are taken with their shoes on. Yao Ming is listed at 7'6", but is likely 7'5". In fact, Shawn Bradley, who is 7'6", told an interviewer "If Yao is 7'6, then I'm 7'7". It's not a big difference(1"-1.5") in most cases, but some players are listed 2" taller than they actually are.

Yes, a lot of people said Sampson was 7'4 but i knew it wasnt true.
maybe he was 7`2. As the same way Hakeem never was a 7 footer
i think he was 6`11. Anyway he was the best center in nba all over the 80´s and 90´s

I like how casual he is in talking about keeping up a 5-plus block per game average.

I had heard in the past that Ralph Sampson was never 7'4", and now after hearing Eaton confirm that, I know it's true.
"Whats the secret to blocking shots?" -Mark- "Being freaking 7 foot 4"

Utah had a solid team even before Stockton, Malone and Sloan. And even after that, they are a playoff constant again. Wow, that's what I call consistency!
