Different Strings by Rush
performed by Luis Tijerina
It's been a while since I uploaded a new video, so this time I decided I'd record my take on one of my favorite Rush songs, from one of my favorite albums (Permanent Waves). If someone would ask me what's my favorite band, I would say it's Rush, hands down, with Alex Lifeson being my favorite guitarist of all time and my main influence.
I believe this song was played originally on an acoustic (I'm not sure because it has a really electric tone), but I had to do it on my Squier Fat Strat because I do not own a reliable acoustic guitar and I wanted to play the song as clear as possible.
I played the whole song plucking the strings with four of my fingers. This is one of the songs that helped me develop my fingerstyle technique.
Overall, I think it was a good take and I had fun doing it, with some occasional mistakes (you get nervous once you got the camera recording).
I hope you like it. I kindly accept comments, constructive criticism, and nods from Rush fans. Please leave a comment.
