Never rock your toilet to that extreme as the wax seal will settle down with simple amount of pressure applied. Always use new T-bolts as this will save you some frustration with the install.Tighten the tank enough so that it does not rock on the bowl.Tighten the tank staggering the tightening (tighten each sides a little at a time) so that it goes onto the bowl level. By tightening the tank a lot on one side ;it is possible to tighten down the other side and crack the the tank.Good luck

2) Shut off poorly mounted supply that probably won't work

3) Get your "ho" to suck out excess water

4) Use halfass wrench to ensure you strip off the nuts

5) Plug hole with rag so your house doesnt smell like a Detroit hooker

6) After finding the huge hole, rock it like a virgin on prom night

7) Strip the nuts off again with a gilligan wrench again

8) Figure out the caps won't go on without cutting off the bolts
