Last song on Mayer Hawthorne's new album How Do You Do. Some obvious influences from Marvin Gaye's Got To Give It Up, so shake a leg and enjoy the jam...

  • @zweb88 Thanks for hooking us up with this song. I can't stop playing it.

  • @WhiskeyJ1313 I'm glad you dig it. And if you haven't actually tried a little Henny & Ginger ale together, I suggest you give it a shot...

  • this guy is the bomb!!!

  • @nkluska Yeah for sure, I saw Mayer open for Chromeo in Chicago recently and they both killed it.

  • The beginning remind me of that Marvin Gaye song (y'all know the one I'm talking bout? I can't think of the name right now! ARG! Somebody please refresh my memory!).................but this is HOT! Classy, trendy, and straight FUNKY! Just straight showin' up a whole buch of this new crap out! Shout out to all the 19 year olds out here like me that would pop this in any day over any current male singers topping the R&B charts.

  • @retronica92 I think you're talking about Got To Give It Up, I mentioned it in the song info.

  • I thought of Marvin Gaye when I first heard this excellent track. Very silky smooth.

  • I lived in Detroit and went to many parties that were mixed race. My friend Will turned this little white girl onto Henny and Ginger Ale. Drank and danced like crazy, shout out to Brett my dance partner. Those were good times.

  • I just found Mayer 3 weeks ago. Just shows radio is crap. I was traveling through Atlanta and heard The Walk on DAVE FM. great station. They play everything. Most stations play the same stuff over and over.
