@11GUITARocker11 When they compare him to the crash they are talking about the how far the seatbelt pushes on the persons chest in the crash, not that he exerts the same force as the car hitting the wall.

YOU WANNA KNOW WHY RUGBY IS MORE TOUGH... ITS THE ONLY GAME IN THE WORLD THAT HAS A BLOOD BIN AND INJURIES DON'T MATTER. A GAME CONTINUES IF SOMEONE IS INJURED. MEDICAL STAFF RUN IN CARRY OUT. BAM.. RUGBY
-
remember. the defense moves up quickly. a decision has to be made split second otherwise defense catches up with him.most professional rugby players are surgeons, doctors, etc. people who can think quickly.
-
in rugby you dont have to stop play. decisions are split second. one wrong decision may lead to a try on the other end. you dont just pass the ball left and right. it is the job of the fly half to look at the opposition defence organize his troops and call a play or code as we ruggers call it which is capable of breaking the defence pattern set up by the opposition. its all split second.

I had to leave rugby for a whole year after a horrible injury. my leg twisted in the wrong direction. but I'm back playing for my uni. rugby is more tough. really u have to play to know.... try competing in the ruck for possession..u get punched, fricken stomped on with iron studs. But the best thing bout rugby is the brotherhood. my cuzz played football nd he told me wenever a play fails or an error is commited there would be cursing on and off the field. Thank god for rugby.

@11GUITARocker11 Im saying NFL players THEMSELVES WITHOUT THE PADDING are nowhere to as tough as ruggers. The padding helps the af players to hit harder, and yes if you were to play an af game without a helmet, you would probably get some sort of head injury. But you have to be in better shape to play rugby. But if they stopped using pads in the NFL, there would be many injuries at first, but then there would be less. The pads make it a more dangerous sport, but at the same time they don't.

@DJSolidify The padding is necesary in the NFL, because the fundamentals (and explosiveness) of the game demand it. There is a reason why there are so many injuries and concussions in the NFL, and why player safety has become a massive issue recently despite the padding - and your a fool if you think it's because the players are soft/wimps etc.
american football is no where near as good as rugby. there is no flow to football at all where as rugby you can have 5 minutes of continuous play befor the whistle gets blown. rugby is just such a better game. period
