The lakes of Imotski are a rare occurrence in
the world and the area of Imotski is one of the
most interesting areas in Croatian karst.
The most popular lakes are the Blue and
the Red Lake due to its shape, dimensions
and colour. The lakes emerged in magnificent
underground caves, which then collapsed thus
opening a view of the lakes from above.
But there are many more hidden beautiful,
less known karst lakes, which deserves our
care and attention.

Everyone is visiting Plitvice, but this appears to be an excellent alternative, at least for one day excursion.

Može, ali ne u svima. Najlakši prilaz i najviše kupača je u Modrom jezeru. Dobro je i u Dva oka, Provaliji, Prološkom blatu, Krenici. Do ostalih je težak prilaz (vratoloman) a do Crvenog jezera samo sa alpinističkim sposobnostima :)
