Please click the "HQ" button at the bottom of the video (should turn red when you do).
This was originally uploaded in 2007, now redone using Youtube HQ mode.
This is a short time-lapse video of a journey around some of the streets in the old west end area of Derby, Derbyshire shown with different photo effects applied to the source jpgs using Paint Shop Pro X's batch processing combined with recorded scripts.
0:00 Normal frames untouched.
1:00 Frames with "coloured pencil" effect.
1:28 Frames with "find edges" effect.
1:53 Frames with "tiles" effect.
2:19 Frames with "Repeat" effect.
2:45 Frames played back at 25FPS
Just a bit of fun to see whats possible by adjusting the source images before making the video from them.
The video is made from 440 photographs, shown in sequence to look like a video. Repeated a few times.
The trip starts at Frair Gate, Derby and ends on Bass Street.
All images taken with a Canon Ixus 430.
macht die ixus nicht nur 320x240 videos? wie hast du das auf HQ bekommen? Ich hatte frueher auch mal mit dem gedanken gespielt mir die 430er zukaufen, aber wegen der VGA videos die 500er genommen.

Yes the 430 only records in 320x240, to HQ mode I edit at 640x480 and YouTube will then allow the higher datarate (and therefor better quality).
