    XOXO

  • I love to hear this old and rare recordings where we can enjoy hearing Luke Kelly introducing the song.

For me the songs became closer.

  • @rojblake82 why not simply appreaciate both instead of comparing them?

  • @cormaccrawley I do like the Corries. but this is nearly orgasmic ;-)

  • Was in the audience with my girlfriend when this was recorded 1968/69 ,still have the L.P.. in perfect condition.Brings back happy memories,I asked her to marry me on the way home, we have now been wed for 42 years.Thank you for posting this.

  • The Corries?!? Not a chance, sorry. It may be a Scottish song but no Scot (or anyone for that matter) will ever sing this song like Luke. Makes the hairs stand on the back of my neck.... every time.

  • I still prefer the COrries version of Peggy Gordon, to Luke Kelly's version and although Luke does his best he is no match for the Corries version of this song.

  • Great vesion of this song

  • @bongojago we do and some not far enough in the past.

  • BONNIE BONNIE SONG! LOVE IT!!! :)

  • love it.

  • Luke = god
