routine cataract surgery performed by an ophthalmology resident. in this case a moderate dense nucleus is emulsified using vertical direct chop to minimize the energy delivered. The phaco-machine is Millenium (Bausch & Lomb), the viscoelastic is Visthesia and Biolon, and the lens is Akreos Adapt AO.
