Quincy Jones has a musical career that spanned six decades and has earned his reputation as a renaissance man of American music. Jones has distinguished himself as a bandleader, a solo artist, a sideman, a songwriter, a producer, an arranger, a film composer, and a record label executive, and outside of music, he's also written books, produced major motion pictures, and helped create television series. The legendary lists of artists Jones has worked with suggests the remarkable diversity of his career : Miles Davis, Frank Sinatra, Count Basie, Lesley Gore, Michael Jackson, Peggy Lee, Ray Charles, Paul Simon, and Aretha Franklin.

Siedah Garrett was singer/songwriter and back-up singer with Quincy Jones and Michael Jackson during the 1980s and 1990s. She is known for her duet with Dennis Edwards on the 1984 song, Don't Look Any Further. Garrett was involved in Michael Jackson's Bad album, singing a duet with Jackson on, I Just Can't Stop Loving You' and co-writing Jackson's hit 'Man in the Mirror'.

  • I keep replaying this song like it's brand new. I remember playing the Back On The Block lp when I was 10. Love this joint.

  • I Siedah, and she does a great job, but I'd like to hear Christina sing this now. She'd tear this song up.

  • this was the jam back in the dayzzie lol thanx fa this...love seidah garrett an love me quincy jones

  • My opion Q always had a serious side to his music. But here he seems to let his hair dwn,and had fun doing this one.. smile

  • @ 3:10 - i used to be able to do that move!

  • Evenly gifted, possibly, as a vocalist and great songwriter, Siedah Garrett would be a household name in a fair world. My fave Brand New Heavies is the Shelter project with Siedah on most lead vocals and her def writing skills on display. Their/her version of Carole King's much-covered 'You've Got A Friend' might be 1 of the best ever! Funky. : )

  • thank youuuuu i loveee siedahhhhh♥

  • And Siedah was the lead vocalist on the Shelter album by The Brand New Heavies

  • i saw Ms. siedah perform this on soul train and she woke that studio up.
