@hiddenbutdeadly Well, cause it was apparently a limit break, according to some sources, and Squall doesn't have any moves that instantly kill that Seifer could turn against him. Plus, he's too awesome for Seifer to beat.

if seifer's gunblade is capable of killing a Gf...then..why cant he kill squall when he attacks him?

@hiddenbutdeadly Technically, Seifer didn't kill Odin, Odin killed himself, since Seifer used Zantetsuken Reverse.

Pretty simple how Squall survived...Edea/Ultimecia wanted to question the SeeDs, so she or Seifer probably used a Phoenix Down on him after they took him to the Prison.
Just in case anyone didn't get it, lol.
