    Nuns were not as backward as portrayed here. Most were college educated with degrees. Fourth, the girls at Immaculata didn't just learn how to play basketball because of Mrs. Rush -- they all had been playing basketball for years and played on championship teams like Cardinal O'Hara High School. No nun ever told us we couldn't play, implied that it was a replacement for hormones or treated it with distain. The Hollywood left in a presumption of detail found only in their politics but not truth
