That is a pretty old MacBook Pro. It could be something to do with the connections inside the Mac. If you know how to do it you could open it up and check the connections to the the motherboard. Im using a new MacBook Pro that I got a few weeks ago because i wanted to upgrade from my old Mac. I Highly recommend it, iLife 11 and all that...stuff is with it as you know. And i also had problems with rendering videos on a PC, Thats why i havent used them for years lol and Macs generally own them lol

Sent to Apple then they could replace everything for you or save up for new macbook pro and it very unlikely you can fix and next if your taking macbook pro back home buy a bag for it to protect my macbook had dent on it in front but now it all brand new and they replaced it for me all for free after 47 days out warranty
