  • Record midi without recording audio, quantize it.

Turn off recording of midi and instead turn on audio rec.

Press record.. Don't know if it works but try :)

Help out a logic 8 nooooob please.

  • Hi SF,

I tried this using an ultrabeat, but I'm at an impass. I would like to be able to quantize the midi multi-takes before commiting them to audio tracks. I need to quantize a bit before exploring the comp features. Not sure how to approach this. It would be great to simply play freely (midi instrument) on a loop, have everything quantized, and then have the ablility to use the comp feature to tweak the patterns. then commit to seperate audio tracks. Need url to donate!! :)
