i was very shocked about the news. she was such an amazing musician, but life consumed her( like so many others before). she was such a talent. there was a time in my life when i listened to her music very often. back to black is such an gorgeous album. may she forever rest in peace.

My mom called me and said, "Did you hear, Amy Winehouse died."
I was like, what? We had at least a 20 minute back and forth of me being confused out of my mind.
I listened to about 4 of her songs, and I loved them deeply. She had an amazing voice, truly amazing. And I still cannot believe she is gone. I'm sad, I'm shocked, I'm mortified that beautiful people are just, leaving us so quickly.

seriously, I listened her songs rarely. but there's no one on earth who didn't know her, i think. her contribution in modern culture is awesome and she will stay forever in our hearts. RIP, Amy.
