New York Sen. Dave Valesky shut down debate on the bloated, $132 billion state budget on 4/2, halting Republicans from learning details of the 2500-page plan that was negotiated in secret by three New York City Democrats who control state government.
Valesky ran for office on a platform of reforming Albany--famously labeled the most dysfunctional government in the nation--but has increasingly found himself defending the downstate Democrat agenda.
In this video, Valesky seeks to halt the question and answer session on the health care portion of the budget, and repeatedly rules against Republicans who are trying to gain information.
This video is in two parts.
