the boat ended up on the rocks in front of the palladium/punta burros. she is a total loss. oct 12 strong south winds and seas broke the anchorline where it connects to the chain. the anchor never dragged. i swam out and tried to raise a sail, too late. she finally ended up in the saltwater pool with the keel broken off outside. never surfed with a sailboat before...
Antonio, for me seem a Coronado 25. I'm buying one like this.
My God. My solidarity to the shipowner.

Thanks for sharing this terrible and amazing footage. I watched with trepidation knowing how difficult it could be to hang on in that situation and not end up between the boat and a hard place.

So sorry Stephan. We sailed south same time as you. We were in Marina Costa Baja La Paz, Then anchored with you on Main land Mexico Chacala and then spent 6 months in Puerto Vallarta. Always enjoyed sailing from La Cruz to Punta Mita and seeing you anchored out. So Sorry. Hope you get the funds to purchase your next sailboat. We are sailing to La Cruz end of Jan.2010. See you then my friend.
