In November 2009, PETA went undercover at Wild Creations, the supplier of national retailers' frogs and miniature aquariums. PETA's investigator documented rampant neglect and mishandling and total disregard for frogs' needs, welfare, and lives.

  • @MrLunchbox1975 ; Peta is concerned about fish too And not only Peta, other organisations too. And before you start about people only caring about (furry) animals; most people who care about animals also care about the environment and human rights. It's all about living beings whether they are animals or humans.

  • It doesn't matter what your view on PETA is. The distribution of these frogs is wrong on so many levels. It's not a matter of opinion. It's simply not right for these frogs to live this way! These frogs can live up to 18 years if well taken care of. However, this company and these people who buy the product don't give them that chance. If you're going to take these animals out of nature and use them as pets, treat them well, otherwise leave them in nature.

  • people buy worms. .12 to a container to string on a hook for fishing. any different? its cruel but those who are that bothered by it better not be eating any meat or dairy nor own a can of raid or a mouse trap. . otherwise just hypocrits with 2 much time on their hands.

  • I had two frogs from brookstone. I moved them to a larger tank. Sadly, Koby passed away after I had her for a year, but Clyde is alive and healthy. He'd probably be dead if he hadnt been moved to a bigger tank.

  • This is horrible!

I love the frogs that are wild and free in my back yard. They are free and happy :)

  • THANK YOU PETA FOR STOPPING THE SELLING OF THE FROG O SPHERE.

  • I've got the bio-sphere and will most certainly will be sending away for my frogs - which I will name Kermit and Herman - and they will sit on my desk at work in all of their glory....Ima save two of those little fockers' lives from this madess....VIVA LOS FROGS

  • @goldie

Do you think this is HUMANE? You are basically saying that making animals suffer like this okay! What is wrong with you? How would you like it if you were stuffed in an air-tight room filled with 100 other people?

  • It suprises me that people think fish and amphibians are simple to care for. Aquariums/terrariums tend to be fairly expensive and require a lot of work. After all, it's a mini eco system.

You'd be in so much s**t if this was happening in Australia.

  • frogs are a great part in the ecosystem... but seriously... if the oceans die off.. all the saving of these little creatures wont matter... think about it... no clean water means no oxygen for us... or anything else for that matter.... so if you wanna save anything save the sharks whales and dolphins... and whatever else..

  • I would have thought PETA would have much higher goals to achieve than stopping a small operation of frog sellers.....

  • @Wazpacman lol you are one of the stupidest people I ever met 1 snails don't do that 2 3rd grade science there's air in water you tart and 3 shutup If you don't know what your talking about
