@CIENEGALOKO13 I know. I'm saying that Lewis seems to approve of UFC specifically, since he was working for UFC at one point. I'm also saying that, broader than just UFC, Lewis seems to have respect for MMA. And beyond that, Lewis considers MMA fighters to be legit martial artists, and I don't see the grounds for denigrating them, their training, or their abilities.

The entire premise of "guy from the 70s versus guy from today" is idiotic anyway, like saying "Albert Einstein was a better scientist than Isaac Newton." You can't even begin to make sense out of a comparison like that.

@CIENEGALOKO13 Joe Lewis doesn't like UFC? He worked with UFC in the early days as a post-fight interviewer. I've also personally been at seminars taught by Lewis and heard him talk about the value of mixing striking and grappling training, so he clearly has no problem with MMA.
And UFC fighters are somehow not martial artists all of a sudden? What are you talking about? I'm pretty sure those people practice martial arts.
