@hippymumsal I have 5 whippets and grinding is the answer. They push each other a side to be first in line. They love it.

Billy can be a little distracted by food so he's easier but sounds pitiful. Pepper is never bribed by food and it's like trying to hold a bag of angry cats, except she doesn't bite! I'll let you know if I ever find a solution to this,

I realised yesterday that you don't have this on the list.....Toenail clipping!! My dogs are absolutely horrendous in this aspect, Billy struggles and cries all the way through, Pepper is like a Tasmanian devil. Any tips? (Don't do much roadwork, we have the lovely fields nearby)

Oh my gosh, you are so right It is the worst experience in the world. We use a spoon full of peanut butter which Luna will lick while we hold her and get to a few before she goes nuts. It's a real ordeal---hence the long nails.

Cold tiles, cold anything! Cold and wet even worse. Unless there's prey in sight then they'll chase anywhere, jump or climb anything, squeeze through any space..
That's speaking for my whippet/bedlington crosses. (5/8 whippet)

You are so right. Check out what I have to go through for her to pee when it rains. Look at "Whippet Winter Wee Wee Woes". And Luna lives in sunny California!!! I can't imagine what it's like for whippets in the UK! Thanks for visiting Luna : )
