I went to this also, But later on into the 'Early Hours'
Quite a large job, Somewhat a rare occurence these days.
I have seen a few Mills go up in my time, just up the road from here, In 1984 there was a bonded warehouse that took 3 days of firefighting to put out!!
A 30 + pump fire, Thornton Road was closed off for 2 days or so, The road was covered in canvas hoses all the way down.
There has been several large mill fires in this area in the past 30 + years.

I was at this job as part of Odsal's Heavy Rescue Pump crew. It was a beast! Ended up damping down the following night too, long shift but good job. Initially it came through as a car fire, MPx6 at Odsal, couldn't wait to se how big a car fire was that required 6 pumps. Turns out it was a dumped car that started it, it went to 10 pumps within 10 mins of first attendance. Good footage!!

I drove past on Thornton Road at around 10.00 pm and it was really blazing. Well done to those that attended it. I hope no one was hurt.
