When I was in school I had a burning interest in math, but one thing or another always got in the way year after year. Now, I'm retired and finally able to give it the attention I want to.
After 14 lessons, I can't say enough about the quality of this course in particular and of MIT's OCW program in general. To receive all this education in exchange for a voluntary donation (at most) seems too good to be true. I see that Professor Strang has put his text on Google Books. Hats off to him!!

This series rocks. I just took Linear Algebra, and the lectures were good but quite abstract with most of the time spent on theorems and proofs. Rigorous proofs aren't the best route to comprehension, and you have to really work to wring meaning out of them. (At least in my case). Prof Strang is excellent at exposing the meaning in a direct, intuitive way. This is super.
