Poor people are more likely to become militants. If there is an increase in militantcy there is a reason for the US to continue occupation. The Defense Contractors continue to make money, there is more money devoted to the Pentagon and the military. The Generals are 'milking' money on the US being there. But whatever I say doesn't change the crap goin on.

The americans should gain the support of the population, not increase the quantity of troops there. What did the civilians do? Nothing! But they are still mistreated
