At Delivery Service of Connecticut, every one of our newspaper delivery routes has some great scenery or some great piece of Connecticut history along the way. At the end of our East Haddam route, the carrier gets to ride back across the Connecticut River on one of the state's two remaining river ferries. For newspaper home delivery visit www.ctdelivery.com
Nice video.... I discovered this ferry to Chester - and the Gillette Castle - quite by accident while returning home from an adventurous trip to Cape Cod this past week. It was quite a nice surprise and it really was such a beautiful day and a very memorable part of my trip. Thanks for sharing!

I love this part of connecticut. It gets to you. Taking the steam train and the little ferry across the river, its almost magical.
