Chapter X: The kettle is uncovered

Educational topic: Discrimination of gender and for a pregnancy in the school

Barbi is punished by her father once he discovers that she was spending time alone with a sorcerer-friend. Felipe, her younger brother who blackmails her in return for his silence, does not receive any sanctions because -according to Barbis father sorcerers can do whatever they want. The witches have to deal with many injustices, and even worse, there are young witches who are not married and pregnant. They are easy and accused of putting the prestige of where they study at risk. Under this premise, Mister Master NN attempts to expel Magdalena from the magic school.

From the Field:

I am in a mixed classroom with 30 students that are 16 years old. After listening to chapter three of Magic Touch, I ask questions about the attitudes of the characters, which creates a debate. There are those who see it as natural for males to decide how women should dress, but the girls express their right to dress the way they would like. Finally, it becomes apparent that we are the product of a society that qualifies women and men with double standards. The time for change is now- boys and girls are marching to the patio and down the corridors. When they return to the daily questions and hear their father deciding their mothers clothing, or when in the future they ask a significant other to look this or that way, surely they are going to remember chapter three of the radio soap opera, magic touch. From there they are going choose their stance.
