Devil's Spell: A Jemi Story Ep 1

Demi sighed as she watched Lance, walk by again without so much as a glance. She had liked since Middle School and had never said a word to him. In her mind she had no chance, Lance was the most popular, best looking, most athletic, nicest and smartest guy in Glen High. Demi was none of things and she had finally had enough of being invisible. It was time to call on drastic measures.
Demi’s POV
I felt stupid. I grabbed the dusty, ragged book from the library self and glanced around to make sure the librarian wasn’t looking and I slipped it into my book back. I wasn’t exactly proud of this action but I was way too embarrassed to check this book out. I strode quickly out of the library my head down and walked over to my house and ran upstairs to my bedroom. Please, work, I muttered to myself, pulling out the book I stole from the library. Love Spells For the Lonely, that’s the title and hopefully somewhere in this book contains the way into Lance’s heart. Dumb, I know, but I’ve tried everything to get Lance to notice me and none of it has worked and now I’m desperate. Besides what do I have to lose by trying this anyways? I skimmed through the index and found what I was looking for, unrequited love. Yup, that’s me the girl, whose love is unrequited.
Draw a circle in chalk on the floor, line the circle with 6 candles, lighting only 4. Draw a small triangle and stand in it while reciting the words, Spirits of True Love, bring my soul mate to me, may we be happily united, never to part, for our hearts will be joined as one, while thinking of your desired love. After preparing I stood in the triangle and took a deep breathe, please work I whispered. Spirits of True Love… I heard a deep rumble but kept reciting, Bring my soul mate to me, the rumble grew and I began to feel hot, may we be happily united, never to part, for our souls will be joined as one, I finished while picturing Lance. Suddenly there was silence, the rumbling and the heat disappeared, my heart sank, it hadn’t worked. I should have know, stupid book, I cursed. The true love shall be yours, I heard a velvet voice say. What? I asked gaping, had the spell really worked. I turned around to face a boy, who looked to be around 19 years old, his black tousled hair partly covered his piercing eyes and his face was set in satisfactory smirk. Who are you? I asked puzzled. The boy laughed, You didn’t read the whole spell did you? I shook my head and his smirk grew even more pronounced as he handed me the book, last paragraph, he told me.
This spell is not to be cast lightly. In payment for your true love’s love, you are required to give something precious of your. After casting the spell, a handsome man shall appear granting you your wish and demanding his payment in return. The man is the Prince of Hell, Satan’s Son, all powerful and the essence of sin. The payment for the spell is your virginity. You have up to 5 months after casting the spell to give the Prince of Hell his payment. Even if your spell is undone, you cannot be released from your payment. If you fail to sacrifice your virginity, you will be sentenced to live in Hell forever as servant to the Prince of Hell and at the mercy of other lesser daemons.
I gasped and the boy who was supposedly the Prince of Hell smirked. What the hell? I said, is this some kind of sick joke? If it is it’s isn’t funny and I get it, I won’t ever steal a book from the library again, and I swear I was planning on returning this one! The boy chuckled, it is very real and I wouldn’t mind getting my payment right now, he grinned and winked at me. I closed my eyes and pinched myself, Wake up, wake up, this is all a dream. Te boy chuckled again and touched my cheek almost tenderly, I’ll let you get back to reality but I will be back and awaiting my payment. And with that he disappeared. I flung myself onto my bed and buried my face in my pillows waiting for the nightmare to be over.
