About us creating AI, so far as being an analogy to God creating us - I don't think it works (just like your kids analogy). God hasn't only created us, but the Universe in which we live. I hope you can see that that is quite different to creating an entity that goes forth and struggles in an uncertain moral millieux - like your kids, or your robot.

What makes it true is that it was on the lips of God, and if someone had wronged you, you would want them punished, yet when people like this do wrong, instead of owning up to it, they create a "club" that defies all that is true.

These people talk as if god spoke to them and they KNOW what he/she/it wants and doesn't want. The ignorance is so thick it's fucking scary.

Unfortunately that doesn't really mean anything, I could argue who's to say that santa clause didn't just get the ball rolling? The point being it is illogical and unreasonable to believe such propositions unless evidence is provided, otherwise we would be accepting any wild claim anyone can make, which gets us nowhere.
