Wow!!! Love Waylon, My Dad sang all his songs..but with Amanda, he sang I'm over 50 and still wearing jeans. Lost Dad 2 1/2 years ago. Miss him and Love him. Back when I was a teenager, Dad sang, I'm Damn near 40 and still wearing jeans....made mom cry every time, as this was his song to her....I know a post hasn't been made here in 7 months, but oh well.

My first time hearing this song, very nice.

My mother named my 2nd sister (deceased around 1 yr old premature) after this song. It maid me cry. I never got to meet my 2nd sister since I was born 3rd. ( I have another sister 4 years older than me) and my 2nd sister would have been 1 year older than me.......Love this. God bless.

@kkw1965 One post a year is better than none. Love this song and your comment which hits very close to home for me. My late husband looked and sounded like Waylon. Our oldest son is now in his 40's and it's one of his favorites too.

Both Waylon and Don Williams versions of this song sound very similar, in fact their vocal tone is similarly close. They should have done a DUO version.
