I am attempting to cover sections of several Deep Purple songs here (Strange Kind of Woman, Highway Star and Lazy), on guitar, bass and drums. The versions I am covering are the original studio tracks, done in the early Seventies. The quite brilliant lineup of the band at that time was Ritchie Blackmore on guitar, Ian Paice on drums, Roger Glover on bass, Jon Lord on keys and Ian Gillian on vocals. I am trying to replicate most of the guitar, bass and drum parts, and also I am trying to simulate some of the keyboard parts on guitar, as well. I hope my attempt is somewhat tolerable.
