It may seem odd to many of you but I'm used to teachers talking and coaching while i dance even for a rehearsal. its not that difficult to listen to them and the music because by that point youve already paced yourself to the music so you know how you wanna dance it and they are just pointing out things that you need to think of while youre doing it ... maybe its being trained by russians but i wouldnt have it any other way.

@jinpitakki33 I agree with you about the coach on the microphone, there's a time and a place, and no-one can dance and listen to the music and pay attention to the comments at the same time.

People, remember to check the date of the video. Joy has improved greatly since then, and yesterday she had her debut on the Bolshoi stage by dancing in La Fille Mal Gardee as Lise. She did BRILLIANTLY.

To anyone putting her down, notice she's the one in the highly prestigious bolshoi ballet academy and you're not, leave it to the bolshoi teachers to give her her corrections.

gorgeous dancer. but yeah, i agree with people about the arms and subtlety of movement. during the pirouettes on the diagonal, when she brought her arms up into fourth, she needed to lengthen the one above her head - looked really... mushroom-ey. and she flung them around a bit during the jete en tournant.
OMG the person on the microphone, so damn annoying. can't they just let her dance, get a feel for the stage etc. THEN go through it with her in person afterwards??

agree with the comment that you need more delicacy in your arms, you are a fantastic dancer and really good at turning (your attitude/arabesque turns were beautiful!) but at times your arms show that your working hard, and so they look stiff and aren't smooth.
move your arms with your back more and not by the hands and let the hands be soft and your arms will look graceful

She is very good at turns, but needs more delicacy of her arms, and subtlety of movement. This will come with time, but she has to work hard on it.
