Finally! It is actually happening, Digimon Digital Monsters (Season 1) is getting an official DVD release in Australia!

This is an actual licensed version of the original Saban dubbed Digimon Season 1 being released by Madman (an Australian anime distributor) and is NOT like the bootleg produced by Alliance Entertainment or any other.

The season will be split into 2 collections, each having 4 discs with 27 episodes per collection. They will cost $49.99 AUD and will be released on August 17th and October 2011.

Tell your friends and the other Digimon Seasons and Films may follow suite and eventually get a Blu Ray release!

Digimon belongs to Bandai, Toei Company, Disney, Saban Entertainment. No copyright infringement intended.

Yeah it 'came out' but barely, not a single JB Hi Fi or Sanity in the state have a copy! :@

So freggin annoying, especially since I pre-ordered mine on Sunday. I'll be picking mine up on Friday as well + that's when my review will have to be :)

Mmm that's what I had figured, the sales from Digimon would've sky rocketed on day one and not stocking this by default (as opposed to only ordering if a customer asks) is pretty stupid.

But I think that JB Hi Fi barely knew about the release, cause it wasn't featured in their Stack Magazine even though they had a Madman advertisement for High School of the Dead. Ah well, atleast I have heard that some people have brought it and posted pictures on the Madboards :D

@toujourscharming Well when i went to Jb hi fi and checked if they had on pre order but they said that they do know about the release but they have not got it on pre order. And a few days later they had on Pre order.

P.S. Maybe it depends the state you live in to confrim the release.

I'm so excited to get my officially licensed copy I could pee my pants. I hope they do 02 and Tamers too. I'd buy the first three seasons!! @o@
