  • Brought to account? 8 years for 270 murders?

When Magrahi's master gets killed, we will get to the bottom of this joke and travesty of justice.

  • The normally complete dafties who run the Scottish nationalists got it right! don't sink to Magrahi's level, show an example of compassion to the rest of the world.

  • It took you three comments to come up with that?

  • The good thing about what MacAskill has done has showed us the difference between people who lock killers up and throw away the key and to be merciless and people who want to be compassionate because he doesn't want this country to be as bad as plenty of others

  • Pathetic, the guy murdered hundreds, and this guy talks about compassion. What about the victims families? These folks were Americans but also Scots by blood. You will be judged for this decision.

  • Kenny MacAskill: a man whose name will live on in infamy forever.

To release a convicted terrorist who was responsbile for the deaths of nearly 300 innocent people, after only EIGHT years in prison. A "decent" sentence for murder is at least twenty years. After eight years in prison, this terrorist had served roughly one fortnight per life taken. A complete miscarriage of justice.

Terrorists can never win, and the countries that support freedom, but they will get a good smile out of this.

  • The correct decision by a brave man!

I'm proud to be Scottish and that will not change!

Saor Alba agus Alba gu brath

  • Scotland the nation of humanity! We do not support terrorism!! The crime that was commited was destructive and upsetting...since the 1988 atrocity our lives have been taken by media terrorism and we still say nothing and still support defiance against the terrorists!! Stand up and realise your potential in life!! We are the nation that began the power of freedom!!

  • Well Done...Scotland as a nation we can be proud, why should we the taxpayer pay to keep a terrorist? the pan am atrocity was something that we cud not avoid like many attacks on our peaceful democracy.Does this mean that we the Scottish people sympathize with terrorisim? No! we are the saltire the most powerful free state in the known world!!! Godspeed!

  • Long live the spirit of Burns and Scott, without their influence we become Yanks and i for one don't see us as a nation of P.T. Barnums.

    Saor Alba!
