A drive down "Broadway" the main street in Pennsville New Jersey. I grew up in this small American town but left for the big city more than 20 years ago.
Later I took my children back for a visit and this Bruce Springsteen song kept playing in my head.

  • This video is really great. I having been living in South Korea for awhile now. I like watching this video when i get homesick or miss the US. I doubt I will ever move back. But sometimes it is nice to look back.

  • Movie theater's closed

    Bowling alley's closed

    Wendey's came & went

McDonalds burnt down & was rebuilt

    sigh.

  • I lived a few places b4 i came back. you can sure as hell do a LOT worse these days. The reason NEW things don't open here and survive is because 'tax free' Del. is 5 miles away. I Hate Del. traffic and drivers though. Hey ,we do havea walmart now, but what town with more than 10,000 people doesn't?

  • omg this video is so old it dont even look like pats pizzeria is there. just gus's. and pats is my favorite place!

  • class of 2012 right here. i love pennsville. lived here for all 14 years of my life

  • Hey, when you decide to make and post some videos of your own on YT, you can criticize all you like.

I'm not saying the video couldn't have been better, but your comments come across more as insults than criticism. That's not cool.

  • It's crazy how little Pennsville really changes. While I was born in DE, I grew up partly in Pennsville and my family still lives there. I bet the stripmall where the Kmart, Acme and bowling alley are will always be there. I remember going to the theater and going to the park as a kid. Used to live on North River Dr. and would watch the ship go down the DE river at night. I'd call them Christmas trees. Crazy, that was 25 or so years ago.

  • could you post a more abstract rendition? maybe crayons instead of a video camera. nothing is more frustrating than poor quality video!!! why did you even bother? if you are going to drive all the way from the big city (wilmington?)and make the effort couldn't you do a better job?

  • we passed my old apartment :)

  • i dont think pennsville is ever gonna change...

    pmhs class of 09!
