thank you kind sir.. or lady? ;P I started off with garageband which is a program that comes with mac. its ok quality and very useful for beginners or people who havent recorded that much before. and then i upgraded my equipment, now using a proper rec mic, a sound card box called steinberg 1 and a program called cubase. cubase is pretty common in the indusrity i hear.. :P
