  • @Enkeixpress Are you blind? The description says it's running on a QS21-based cluster. The PS3, with its single Cell chip with disabled SPEs would never be able to do this.

  • Running on a PS3! :)

Only possible on PS3.. Xbox 360 can only dream of doing this :)

  • Really AMAZING!!

  • Really AMAZING!!! Great Job!! Is Juan Andrés Daniela's Cousen from Venezuela!! Congratulation!! that's my dream do something like that!! someday maybe i'll do it! :D Merry Christmas!

  • Really amazing.

  • It is certainly impressive, but no, it's not a PS3 doing most of the computing. They have a rather LARGE pile of blade servers working on this.

  • Probably never. This is several Cell processors working together. Realtime raytracing is a while away still... and by the time that much power is able to be fit inside one console, we'll be using the PS5 probably:P

  • I hope you people know.. That ray tracing is great indeed.

but.. this demo lacks serious detail and polygon count, if games like god of war 3 used full real time raytracing the frame rate would be murdered!!

like 2/60fps and thats cutting it some slack.

  • dudes....real time ray tracing......real time... ray tracing...

  • Hm. I wonder if this gets into film/animation industry...
