I remember being twelve years old (more than forty years ago) and going to my piano teacher and insisting that I learn something by Ravel. She laughed and informed me that I was nowhere near ready for Ravel. But as an introduction to French music she gave me this music. i was enchanted by it. This performance brought back some wonderful memories. I'll have to go to the attic and see if I can find this charming score.
