Here's another pattern for you to learn that's quite simple. This is called the Conga pattern or also known as Comparsa. There's many parts to this ryhthm, but for the sake of playing it on your own then learn the pattern this way.

  • rojo i had the same problem and it was this rhythm played slowly on 2 drums is what developed my left hand slap. You hav to just work at it I played this rhythm and also basically sat at the conga for one day strictly working on all tones with my left,slaps,open,palm or bass,muffs etc then all of the sudden the left started sound good.
