@ask11cats...... I would assume you have a none military background. Killing ONLY 93 would have saved MANY allied lives. Snipers deserve their tributes as do all our servicemen.

Amazingly even with the m14, Winchester , m40,ect some snipers in the Vietnam War were using the good Springfield M1908 with its companion the unertl scope.

We would not have snipers in our era if not for the “The Nam “ because in almost all the US major conflicts sniper schools and programs essentially got disbanded but after the Vietnam war they finally realised the snipers true potential and now every branch of the army is fielding sniper units. It also started the spike of rifles specifically built for the purpose of sniping.
