Nevada, has legalized prostitution. Second, If she can get the drugs for a measly few bucks then what protection does the pimp have.
Like it or not Prohibition did not work. It only led to a massive increase in organized crime. Legalize both prostitution and drugs and the criminals would loose their monopoly virtually overnight.
Case closed, logic wins. End of story.

@necrotyk1985 im curious as to what areas? i have never heard of them. maybe she can get the drug at another price, but a mind on drugs doesnt think the same as a sober mind. i cant see why the pimp wouldnt still commit the crime, he still has something she needs. good to see replys though, argyments are good because its a great way to learn. if im wrong here, by all means point it out

@RESTxINxPIECEZ Simple answer: There are areas where prostitution is legal in the united states. Why is it that the situation you described does not happen there? Because the prostitutes are protected by law. What would happen if she could get her fix for the price of a cigar? If the victim of this crime knows that she can get the drug cheaply then she has no reason to protect the pimp, furthermore, if the pimp knows this, then he will not commit the crime in the first place.

@GreenTaurosGuy Please explain what Crusader attitude your talking about. The crusades were a legitimate war of self defense. Without it Europe would have been overrun by Muslims in a couple of centuries. As a European I would vote for a politician that has a crusader mentality ( to protect our culture) too bad all politicians in my country are left wing imbeciles.

I'm very sad that there is no true libertarian party in this country. You have Republicans, many of whom are influenced by religious institutions who carry that Crusader attitude into every matter. Or Democrats, who believe communist/socialist policies (many of which have already proven to fail elsewhere in the world) will make everything better. Why can't we just reduce the role government plays in people's everyday lives and restore it to a system of checks and balances.
-
I'm going to be sad when this man passes away. One less forward-thinker in this world. Thankfully there are people out there who can take these statements and continue opening this educational path to others.
-
Big thumbs up: he was way ahead of most people back then. The one thing that has changed is that drug raids, while still bad policy, are becoming less and less good politics as well.

@RPFS2008 hes not, but shes now a heroin addict, your entire thought process changes at that point. all she knows is she wants heroin, if the pimp goes to jail she wont get it, so she wouldnt testify against him.
@RoboSlater Probably no more than he would be for making alcohol and cigarettes legal for children...what a stupid question.

@RESTxINxPIECEZ You're not interested in an answer. You're interested in rejecting any response so that you can falsely claim the drug war is right.
I write this because of your blatant use of a ridiculous strawman.
In the unlikely event I'm wrong, I apologize. I will know I'm wrong when you respond intelligently, with a true thirst for knowledge, not with kindergarten nonsense.
