This is a slide show made up of photos from back in time in Palm Springs. You might find someone you know, or a photo that you posted. I added music by Dean Martin "It's 1,200 Mile From Palm Springs To Texas", Frankie Capp Orchestra & Keely Smith "Palm Springs Jump", Cat Stevens "Oh Very Young", Don McLean "American Pie". Enjoy and share!

  • What a wonderful nostalgic collection of photos of a simpler time in the history of fabulous Palm Springs. Job well done, good music choices also.

    Thank you.

  • @belguidogato I'm so glad that you enjoyed it. Yes, those were the most wonderful times. I hope you share this with all your friends who might enjoy taking a step back in time.

  • Wow! You have no idea how precious this is to me. My family (Chalfont) moved to PS Jun 1947 (I was 6 mos old). From the time I was 10 I started photographing the Desert Circus Parade, Rodeos, the deserts, friends and events. Sadly my home burned in 98 – photos gone. PS was magical then. I knew the majority of celebrities as did most everyone else. Easter Week what fun! Tahquitz my love. I worked for Howard Haddock City swim program 59-64 n the Angels Concession 2yrs. Thank you, Jeanne Chalfont

  • @JeanneNoel I'm glad you got a chance to reminisce. As a little girl I was in some of those swim programs, probably started in 1963 when I was 8 years old. I used to love the swim competitions. Please be sure to share my video with all.

  • Very Cool! Thanks for sharing!!! I did a A&E special about the Racquet Club back in the day that I have youtubed :) Love the history of Palm Springs and I love living here!

  • @DarynHinton OH WOW! Please....I would love to see the video. My mother belonged to the Racquet Club way back in the mid to late 60's and we hung out there all the time. I remember as a little girl watching the beauty pageants. Such great times!

  • Thank you so much for taking the time for this wonderful video! So much history and as a new resident I love seeing Palm Springs like I could never be a part of.

  • so nice to see such compilation.

  • I am surprised you have no pictures of The Inn at the Racquet Club on Racquet Club Road an Indian Canyon Dr. So much history their.

  • June 1962-my first trip to Palm Springs- Palm Canyon was something else--

gorgeous, palm trees, crescent moon, Fun "n" the Sun caramel covered

marshmello candy, The Racquet Club-said I would come back one

day and author a guide book to this paradise oasis. Twenty five years later

I returned and wrote that book. Pam Price

  • LOVE LOVE LOVE! Keely singing! The band is swinging!

  • Great video! I moved there in 1945 when I was in 1st grade. Class of 1957 at PSHS. My dad was involved in many community activities like the parades you've shown. Seems like yesterday - maybe day before. Thanks for the memories.
