  • Yusuf al-Qaradawi says: Among the entertainments which may comfort the soul, please the heart, and refresh the ear is singing.Islam permits singing under the condition that it not be in any way obscene or harmful to Islamic morals. There is no harm in it being accompanied by music which is not exciting.

    (Y. al-Qaradawi, "The Lawful and the Prohibited in Islam," p. 300)

  • Salam alaikum. `Aishah narrated that during the days of Mina, on the day of `Eid al-Adha,two girls were with her, singing and playing on a hand drum. The Prophet (saw) was present, listening to them with his head under a shawl. Abu Bakr then entered and scolded the girls. The Prophet (saw),uncovering his face, told him, "Let them be,Abu Bakr. These are the days of `Eid." [Reported by al-Bukhari and Muslim.]

I think that should answer your concerns.Wassalam.

  • @okittyfaceo1991 Well no, it isn't :)

  • Assalamo Aleikum my brothers and sisters in islam. I've a simple question, but some of you might take it, in a offensive way, but please give it a thought and ask this same questions to others, especially our Imams (Teachers). My Question Is: Where did the numbers 786 originated from?

  • nice song but is da beet from baqstreet boyz?im jw cuz da beet sound mad familiar :P

  • but also id like to say we cant judge these guys cos we are all sinners ! we dont know there intention, there hearts cud be pure ! all im saying is accept that music is haraam n rather repent 4 our sins then making something haraam permissible cos thats a greater sin n ur imaan is at risk by justifying music !

  • i agree with whothisebe!the complete study of hadeeth would show that music is haraam n to say something is permissible wen forbiden cud take u out of the fold of islam! dont u guys know abt dajal ? music lovers will follow him n hazrat EASA(peace be upon him) will fight against them ! clearly also how can u possibly say ALLAH's name in a song which has such a beat u can dance to it !

  • loooooooooooooooooooooooooooool
