Yeah, it might be a bit sloppy, but at least it was fun to play.. :P

I actually don't know the name of the tune, but it can be heard in the end of Derek Warfield & The Wolfe Tones recording of The Merry Ploughboy on the album "50 Great Irish Rebel Songs & Ballads".

Update: Thanks to Accordionman331 for providing me with the title of this tune: The Irish Washerwoman

  • Hey, could you possibly go any faster?

  • @MajinMustang Yeah, I normally play it something like tree times faster but I slowed it down on this recording so that the camera would be able to get the sound :)

  • is this like a lute or a guitar for midgets?

    xD

  • It's neither a guitar, nor a lute. It's an octave mandolin (a big mandolin tuned an octave lower than "normal" mandolins)

  • Lovely lovely and nicely done too (<:

What kind of an octave is that? Its not a Trinity is it? Whatever is sounds great and you play wonderfully!!! 5 STARS

  • Yes, it's a Trinity College octave mandolin :) Thank you!
